Founding
We were founded in Sivas with a vision of providing informal learning opportunities in youth, the environment and culture — with a particular focus on the education of people with special needs.
Our story
A learning movement born in Sivas.
Founded in 2020, Buruciye Youth and Education Association offers quality learning opportunities in education, culture and the environment to all members of society, young people above all.

Who we are
With young people, for young people.
Our association is committed to investing in the education of young people and trainers, and to helping them reach their full cognitive and emotional potential.
Through values education, we encourage new ideas, creativity and artistic expression. We are committed to representing universal values beyond our borders and to promoting intercultural communication, the core value of our work.
Today, as a Eurodesk contact point, an accredited ESC organisation and the coordinator of an Erasmus+ Capacity Building project, we connect young people in Sivas with Europe.

02 — 2021
First partnerships
We signed cooperation protocols with various NGOs, the Governorship of Sivas and the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism. Despite the pandemic, we continued most of our activities online.
202203 — 2022
A gateway to Europe
The Soul of Coaching (KA153), All Different, All Equal (KA154) and Time2Speak English (ESC30) were approved. In October we hosted 24 young people from Italy, North Macedonia and Czechia in Sivas.
202304 — 2023
Solidarity
Following the earthquakes, we donated TRY 20,000 to those affected. Our Now is the Time project, focusing on the İlbeyli area of Sivas, was approved, and we announced the Digitalife (KA210) training course.
202405 — 2024
Capacity and fieldwork
We took part in the KA152 youth exchange in Ohrid, completed the ESC Quality Label training and joined the Sivas search and rescue camp.
06 — 2025
Taking the lead
We became the coordinator of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building project Be Ready 4 Life and began working with Sivas AFAD and partners from four countries.
07 — 2026
Growing impact
We validated the BeR4 training modules in Limoges, opened European Youth Week at the Abdi Ağa Mansion, saw our DiscoverEU project approved, and are now preparing to host VOLTRAX in Sivas.

Adem Demir
President · Lecturer at the International Relations Office of Sivas Cumhuriyet University; manages youth projects.
Hatice Demir
Vice-President · Leads the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programme and volunteer coordination.
Özer Ünveran
Primary school teacher; regional trainer with experience at the Turkish School in Qatar and as a coordinator for the Ministry of National Education (MEB) in Sivas.
Muhammed Selvi
Contact person · Youth worker and archery coach at the Sivas Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports.
